Our Team
Our international youth leadership team is composed of dedicated individuals who are passionate about helping IPV survivors and underserved populations. We are committed to providing the support and resources needed to empower those we serve.

Veronica Van Slyck
Veronica, the founder and executive director of Reignite Resumes, became aware of IPV at a young age and dedicated her time and effort to finding solutions. After conducting research and interviews with experts, she gained an understanding of domestic violence and the gaps in the services being provided to IPV survivors. The result of that research was Reignite Resumes, a nonprofit organization she founded in 2025. In her role, Veronica oversees our international leadership team, strategic planning, operations, and marketing. In 2025, she completed resume writing coursework. In addition to this role, Veronica is student and active member of her school community.

Naisha Goel
Naisha is excited to serve as the Editorial & Communications Director for Reignite Resumes. In her role as head of the editorial team, she is responsible for leading our content development efforts, editorial calendar, messaging strategy, and brand voice. Naisha has been busy developing content on a range of topics for the blog, writing about important issues ranging from the signs of financial abuse to the role of mentors in supporting IPV survivors and more. She also loves to read, watch Netflix, and hang out with her friends and family!

Juliana Enriquez
Juliana is the director of social media for Reignite Resumes. She developed her passion for communications, mentorship, and uplifting others over time and hopes to continue to further her growth. In her previous volunteerism, she has tutored, fundraised, and provided equity by translating in Spanish to others. Juliana enjoys building her leadership skills through ASB as the Communications Liaison at her school and hopes to use those skills in this position. During her free time, she likes to spend time with her rescue dog and venture out to new restaurants and try new foods. She likes learning about different cultures as well.

Ava Woroch
Ava, the official art director of Reignite Resumes, is proud to be part of this youth-led nonprofit organization. In her role, she uses her artistic skills to create stimulating visuals for all of Reignite Resumes’ materials. She hopes to assuage, comfort, and inspire visitors to our website, social media platforms, and other online services through the use of graphic design and other artistic media. In addition to her position as art director for Reignite Resumes, Ava likes to spend her free time performing in theater and creating other pieces of fine art to keep or potentially sell.

Maria Avgerinou
With a strong interest in both technology and social media, Maria serves as Digital Innovation Director for Reignite Resumes. In her role, she focuses on ways in which we can leverage technology to achieve our mission of empowering IPV survivors and underserved populations. Maria is also focused on expansion into emerging social media channels and defining our future innovation strategy. She hopes to contribute to more people opening up about IPV and seeking for help to gain economic independence, without it being considered a taboo. In her spare time, you will most likely find her on the taekwondo court, practicing some kicks or doing sparring with her teammates. She also loves coding and enjoys a well-directed movie that keeps you on your toes!

Shresta Chigurupati
Shresta is the Assistant Social Media Director at Reignite Resumes and is deeply passionate about our mission of empowering individuals and creating access to meaningful opportunities. She believes in the power of storytelling and digital outreach to inspire confidence, raise awareness, and support those working toward personal and professional growth. Shresta is motivated by the organization's commitment to uplifting underserved communities and is excited to contribute to a team that prioritizes impact, equality, and empowerment. Through her involvement in DECA, she has strengthened her leadership, communication, and collaboration skills, which she brings into her role to help create engaging and purposeful social media content and strategies. In her free time, Shresta enjoys reading, spending quality time with her family and friends, and exploring various cultures.

Haniyyah Katyal
Haniyyah believes that equitable access to career education has the power to transform lives, especially for individuals rebuilding their independence. With a background in leading initiatives across finance education, debate, and student media, she brings a passion for using communication as a tool for empowerment. As Social Media Manager at Reignite Resumes, Haniyyah hopes to amplify the organization’s message of resilience and opportunity, connecting more survivors to the resources that help them thrive.

Madhavan Sridhar
Words have always been Madhavan’s way of understanding people and ideas—shaped through public speaking, debate, and Model United Nations. He’s drawn less to argument than to articulation: saying something clearly, intentionally, and at the right volume. That instinct guides Madhavan’s work as Content Manager at Reignite Resumes, where he focuses on writing that feels grounded and real. He values communication that isn’t performative, but present—where meaning is carried not just by what is said, but how it’s said and why.
Our Board of Directors
Our board of directors are an integral part of our organization, providing strategic and organizational insight.
Catherine Fatony
As president of our board, Catherine brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to her nonprofit work, uniting strategic expertise with a deep commitment to purpose-driven initiatives. She holds an MA in English and an MBA in Marketing, blending creative vision with data-informed decision making. A passionate advocate for women's rights and gender equality, Catherine is dedicated to elevating female voices and advancing women in leadership. Her work is rooted in the strong belief in the ability to make meaningful, lasting change.
Marlene Mattarazzo
The dual topics of intimate partner violence (IPV) and economic empowerment have been close to Marlene's heart for many decades. As a successful entrepreneur and employer, she witnessed firsthand the transformative power that career skills and services could have for individuals. She comes to Reignite Resumes having spent many years volunteering for domestic violence shelters and hotlines in the U.S. Southwest. She is also passionate about youth-led initiatives and is thrilled to serve on the board of Reignite Resumes as treasurer.
Nancy Knoll
Our secretary of the board, Nancy, spent several decades climbing the corporate ladder in the technology sector before shifting her focus to social issues that are meaningful to her, including the economic empowerment of women and preventing domestic violence. Known for her tenacity, grit, and creativity, she brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to Reignite Resumes. When Nancy is not working in the non-profit sphere, she spends her time on creative pursuits, including as an avid quilter and musician.
Our Volunteers
Our volunteers are critical to our organization's success. Their selfless contributions and hard work enable us to expand our reach and impact more lives.

Volunteer Outreach Manager
Maya John Leul
Coming from Ethiopia, a country in which IPV is often overlooked, Maya has seen how this issue affects the people close to her. She has also witnessed firsthand how her society refuses to talk about it. As Volunteer Outreach Manager for Reignite Resumes, she gets the chance to contribute to this important cause. Through her role, Maya connects our career services to shelters and communities that benefit from them. In her free time, you can find her at Model United Nations, trying to dilute a heated debate, writing a few new pages of her book, or re-watching her favorite shows for the 100th time.
